Fairfield Museum hosts Election and Veterans Day family events

On two upcoming school vacation days, Election Day and Veterans Day observed, the Fairfield Museum & History Center will offer family activities free of charge courtesy of People’s United Bank.

This 1915 poster by Wallace Robinson depicts canines in the uniforms of England, Germany, France and Russia with a bull terrier in the center wrapped in an American flag instead of a uniform, declaring neutrality and strength.

World War I exhibition opens at Fairfield Museum

Uncle Sam Wants You: Fairfield in the Great War exhibition opens on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 28 with a special “Museum After Dark” event at 6 p.m.

Remembering WWI: Sharing History/Preserving Memories

The Pequot Library and Fairfield Museum are partnering with the Connecticut State Library to host two public programs developed in conjunction with the State Library’s Remembering World War One: Sharing History/Preserving Memories project.
