Offered as part of the Energize Connecticut initiative, Home Energy Solutions – Income Eligible provides approximately $1,000 in no-cost weatherization services to individuals meeting certain income requirements.

Service providers hold information session on energy efficiency

Area homeowners are invited to attend a free information session at the Energize Connecticut Center on Saturday, Oct. 14, at 10:30 a.m. to learn how to take advantage of energy efficiency and renewable energy opportunities.

Hall Neighborhood House Executive Director Robert Dzurenda accepted an Energy Efficiency Leadership Award from Dennis O’Connor, a Small Business program administrator at United Illuminating, on Tuesday, June 27, in recognition of the recent energy upgrades that were performed at the community center, saving them $15,000 in annual energy costs.

The historic Hall Neighborhood House on Bridgeport’s east side has been able to cut approximately $15,000 in annual operational expenses by making energy efficiency upgrades.
