Farm tour at ‘farm’ school Teachers and students had a private tour of the fields farmed in front of Samuel Staples Elementary School by Sport Hill Farm. Farm gal Patti Popp led the groups outside and talked about seasonal eating and some of the challenges that go with farming the open fields. The school group had a chance to welcome fall and Easton’s bountiful harvest with Ms. Popp. Samuel Staples Elementary School was designed to look like a farm and blend into Easton’s agrarian history and landscape on Morehouse Road, which has a rich farming history. — Archive photo
