A 32-year-old Bridgeport man already charged with two Fairfield burglaries was arrested for a third Friday, March 8.

Francisco Garcia, 22, of Lindley Street, was arrested while he appeared in court on charges of third-degree burglary and third-degree larceny.

He had already been charged Feb. 15 with two counts each of the same crimes, relating to burglaries last fall in the Brooklawn section of Fairfield.

Police said Garcia would commonly ride his bike around Brooklawn, knocking on doors to inquire about odd jobs and landscaping.

He was interviewed after he surrendered to police Feb. 15, and told police that he had entered a Park Drive residence in both May and November, resulting in the latest charged.

A convicted felon, according to police, Garcia entered a Brooklawn Avenue residence on Oct. 22, 2012, stealing cash and jewelry. The resident told police that day he returned from work to find the front and back doors unlocked, and the attic open.

Garcia was also charged with a Nov. 2, 2012, break-in, discovered when a Woodside Circle resident returned home to find her dog locked in an upstairs bedroom. Jewelry was also taken in this second break-in.

In January, a neighbor noticed Garcia approach a home with packages on the porch.

In each Fairfield police tracked stolen items to area pawn shops. They previously said Garcia reportedly used a passport for identification purposes while selling the stolen goods.
