Jesuits rally back in big way to gain semis

Fairfield Prep showed why it is the top-seeded seed in the Division I hockey playoffs when the Jesuits came back from a 3-1 deficit to defeat eighth-seeded Hamden High, 8-3, at Yale’s Ingalls Rink on Saturday.
With the win, Prep (21-1) will play fourth-seeded Ridgefield High (17-5) in Wednesday’s semifinal at Ingalls.
Nick Bargiello scored three goals, and Connor Henry and Mike Ventricelli had two assists each.
Matt Beck stopped 22 shots by the Green Dragons (9-9-3).
David White, Henry, Matt Wikman, Tim Edmonds and Kenny Kochiss also scored goals.
White, Wikman, Kevin Brown, Matt McKinney and Billy D’Amore had assists.
