Flooding possible as storm blows in

Fairfield emergency officials are warning of possible flooding with the storm blowing in Wednesday night, March 6.

The incoming storm has potential to cause flooding along the West End of Fairfield Beach Road, according to a a Code RED message from the town. That area is still heavily damaged after Hurricane Sandy.

The next two high tides are 6:36 p.m. Wednesday and 7:30 a.m. Thursday.

The town reminded residents to move their cars to higher ground. Overnight parking restrictions at Veterans park have been suspended for the duration of the storm.
