Warde's Hourani places second in New England

Fairfield Warde heavyweight Ahmed Hourani finished second in the New England Wrestling Championships in Providence, R.I. on Saturday.
On the way to the finals, the junior defeated a pair of state champions.
Hourani won a 9-4 decision over Massachusetts champion Corey Jean-Jacques from St Johns Prep, and then pinned New Hampshire’s No. 1, Camden Crowell from Pinkerton.
After earning a 10-9 quarterfinal round decision over Massachusetts’ Jonathan Comeau from Belmont, Hourani scored a 28-second fall over Rhode Island’s Anthony Tavares from Exeter in the semifinals.
Hourani was shutting down Jesse Webb, the nationally-ranked champ from Vermont with a score of 2-1 before getting pinned.
