Nagy first NE-10 player to be honored

Bentley University junior right fielder Tom Nagy out of Fairfield Ludlowe has been named the first Baseball Player of the Week this season in the Northeast-10 Conference.
Nagy, who came to Bentley after two years at Fairfield University, had three homers, 10 RBI and a .905 slugging percentage in his first five collegiate games.
He drove in all five in a 5-3 win over fourth-ranked Tampa on Feb. 1, including an eighth-inning grand slam to put the Falcons in front, and also homered in both wins at Rollins College this weekend.
Overall, Nagy hit .286 with all six of his hits for extra bases (two doubles, one triple in addition to the three HR) and had a .423 on base percentage.
Bentley, which fell to 3-3 with a 9-6 loss to Rollins Monday, will return to action with a three-game series at nationally-ranked Nova Southeastern University this weekend.
