Bank of Fairfield, Chip’s sponsor Community Spirit Awards

Chip’s owner George Chatzopoulos and Bank of Fairfield Development Head Bob Hojnacki will honor people with Community Spirit Awards.

The management of The Bank of Fairfield and Chip’s restaurant believe that there is some local recognition that needs to be made to constituents of the community who make Fairfield and the surrounding area an outstanding place to live and work. As a result, they have established the annual Community Spirit Awards.

There will be five categories to the awards, including volunteer, not-for-profit, government, education and youth. Nomination forms can be found at either of the Bank of Fairfield’s two branches, at 2150 Post Road or 2248 Black Rock Turnpike, and at Chip’s Restaurant at 525 Tunxis Hill Cutoff in Fairfield. In addition, interested parties may contact Bob Hojnacki at The Bank of Fairfield at 203-659-7600 or [email protected] to obtain a nomination form. Nomination forms must be returned to The Bank of Fairfield no later than March 1.

The nominations will be judged by an independent board and the awards ceremony will take place at Chip’s on March 12.

“There are so many people who make such a difference in our community,” said Hojnacki, development head at the bank. “We wanted to highlight some of those people and their noteworthy accomplishments.”

Chip’s owner George Chatzopoulos agreed. “There are many outstanding contributors in our community who deserve recognition.”
