Prep defeats Hillhouse in battle of unbeatens

Second-ranked Fairfield Prep defeated top-ranked Hillhouse High, 57-52, in New Haven’s Floyd Little Athletic Center on Tuesday.
The Jesuits improved to 15-1, while the Academics fell to 15-1.
Paschal Chukwa keyed the win with a 16-point, 14-rebound and six-blocked shots performance.
Ryan Murphy scored 16 points and Tim Butula had 13.
Hillhouse defeated Prep, 59-44 on Jan. 15, but this time the Jesuits brokered an 18-10 lead after one period and the score was 31-25 at the half.
A 13-6 third-quarter run gave Prep a 44-31 lead with eight minutes remaining.
Dave Zielinski buried a pair of 3-pointers, Keith Pettway scored four points and Thomas Nolan a basket.
Prep will visit Xavier High (10-5) in Middletown on Friday night.
