Prep overwhelms Hamden

The top-ranked Fairfield Prep ice hockey team shut out eighth-ranked Hamden, 7-0, at Webster Bank Arena in Bridgeport on Saturday afternoon.

Dean Lockery powered the Jesuits (13-0) by scoring two power-play goals and adding an assist. Nick Bargiello added a pair of goals and Kenny Kochiss, Connor Henry  and Jack Quinn netted single markers.

Quinn’s goal was his first of the season. Matt Beck made 12 saves to record the shutout for the Jesuits.

Hamden fell to 7-7-1 overall.
