Shampoo theft suspect caught on video

Someone is stealing expensive shampoo from CVS stores around Fairfield

Police said Tuesday that about $800 worth of merchandise per incident has been stolen in a series of August thefts.

The suspect, captured in video and stills from surveillance cameras, is a heavy-set white man with dark hair. In the videos he is wearing glasses which police said may be part of a disguise.

The suspect may have a “sleeve” type tattoo on his right arm, police added.

Video released by police shows the suspect arriving at the Grasmere Avenue CVS on Friday, Aug. 24, around 3:30 p.m. in a black sedan. He paces outside the store before entering.

Once inside, the suspect is seen emptying shelves of shampoo into a backpack before fleeing.

Anyone who can identify the suspect or who has information is asked to contact the Fairfield Police Detective Bureau at 203-203-254-4840. Reference case 12-26773.
