Bank extends coat drive

Bank of Fairfield personal banker Juan Quiroga and head teller Julie Camerato transfer collected coats outside the bank’s Black Rock branch.

The Bank of Fairfield has extended its coat drive to Feb. 28, at both of its branches to benefit people in need through the Bridgeport Rescue Mission.

“Thanks to the generosity of the community, we have taken in hundreds of coats at our two branches over the last couple of months,” said Vicky Maccaro, the bank’s 2248 Black Rock branch manager. “Based on the continuing need, we hope to collect as many as possible over the next couple of weeks.”

In addition to the Black Rock branch, new or gently used coats can also be brought to the bank’s 2150 Post Road headquarters.
