County Cow collects for rescued animals Aug. 26-Sept. 2

Country Cow Deli, 2505 Black Rock Turnpike, will collect donations for Bully Breed Rescue and Animal Nation from Sunday, Aug. 26, through Sunday, Sept. 2.

Bully Breed, based in New Canaan, focuses on pit bulls. Information can be found at bbrinc.org.

Animal Nation primarily rescues cats in the Norwalk area. Information can be found at animalnation.org.

Items needed include durable dog toys, large dog treats, Herm Sprenger training collars, leather leashes, large dog beds, “high quality” dog foods, Blue Buffalo small dog food, Fancy Feast for adult cats, cardboard scratch boxes, small plastic litter boxes, KMR (Kitten Milk Replacement), dry food for cats and kittens (such as Purina Pro Plan), collars and leashes, cat beds, cat toys, and gift cards or monetary donations.

A pit bull will greet donors Sunday, Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.
