Just after 12:30 Saturday morning, Bridgeport police attempted to stop a car at Pearl Harbor Street and Manila Place, but the car refused to stop.

The pursuit wound its way on side roads, including Success and Granfield avenues, before jumping onto I-95 southbound. State police briefly entered the pursuit until the car got off exit 24, cutting through the Cumberland Farms parking lot, jumping the curb, over the sidewalk and crashing into the Miller Nissan parking lot and hitting two new cars and a light pole.

A foot pursuit took place, the suspect running in between cars in the Nissan parking lot. Bridgeport and Fairfield police set up perimeters, but apparently the suspect slipped through. The net of the manhunt expanded to the Fairchild Avenue area near the Sky Hookah Lounge, but the suspect was not found. By 1:30, police had ended their search and the suspect remains at large. However, police know who the suspect is by name and know where he lives.
