Planned Parenthood endorses Lapine McCabe

Michelle Lapine McCabe

Michelle Lapine McCabe, a Connecticut native, local advocate and director of the Center for Food Equity and Economic Development with the Council of Churches of Greater Bridgeport, humbly and graciously accepts the endorsement of Planned Parenthood Votes! Connecticut as a candidate for Connecticut’s 28th Senate District.

“Planned Parenthood provides important, affordable health services to women across Connecticut. I am proud to be their endorsed candidate and, as your senator, will ensure that women’s access to quality healthcare on THEIR terms is protected and supported,” said McCabe.

At a time when women’s reproductive rights and access to affordable health care are under attack at the highest level of government, it is essential that our State Senators and Representatives provide a consistent and predictable level of support.  As your State Senator, McCabe will do just that. Connecticut’s constitution and Supreme court are only as strong as the legislators that work to protect and strengthen our laws. Our legislators must reflect the convictions and beliefs of their constituents.  McCabe remains strongly committed to ensuring that Connecticut will always be a State where women’s rights, and control over their own bodies and health, regardless of their economic means or status, is protected and guaranteed by law.

McCabe will be a refreshingly honest and transparent voice in Hartford.  She stands with you and she stands with Planned Parenthood.

“We need representatives in our State government who will not waiver on their convictions. Our voters are tired of politicians who pander to voters and then vote the way their party tells them to vote. Whether we are talking about access to affordable health care, preserving women’s reproductive health rights or preventing gun violence with every vote we take, now is the time for action and honesty. If I am fortunate enough to win your vote, these are the goals and values I will bring with me to Hartford,” said McCabe.

McCabe lives in Fairfield with her three teenage sons and two rescue cats.
