McCabe for positive change on Nov. 6

To the Editor:

When it comes to elections, I tend to focus on the one or two issues that are most important to me on a personal level. However, this year I plan to approach this mid-term election on November 6th in a different way. I am choosing to vote for the person, not just the issues, and that person is Michelle Lapine McCabe, who is running for the State Senate in the 28th District, which includes Fairfield, Newtown, Easton and parts of Weston and Westport.

I’m choosing to vote for her because she is the kind of person I want representing me in Hartford — someone I know who is a hard worker and will vote her conscience and her heart. Michelle is sincere, honest, intelligent, caring, and very aware of just how serious and complex our current problems are in Connecticut. I know she will not disappoint me as my State Senator.

Our current State Senator, Tony Hwang, just doesn’t seem to have the same sincerity and honest work ethic that I am looking for to represent me in Hartford. When it comes to facing the issues and problems directly and putting in the hard work to find creative solutions to those issues (rather than just referring them to another ineffective committee for review), Tony falls short of my expectations.

For my money and the future of Connecticut, Michelle Lapine McCabe will prove a much better bet for positive change when I cast my vote for her on November 6th.
