The Rams are coming off a heartbreaking 13-12 loss to rival Darien in the FCIAC boys lacrosse final on Friday. Ryan O’Connell led the way with four goals, Owen Shin scored a hat trick, Mac Deane and Ryan Caione both scored twice, and Carl Mazabras had 11 saves.

The Falcons enter the state tournament after falling to Darien 20-2 in the FCIAC quarterfinals last Monday. The Falcons defeated rival Fairfield Warde 12-11 in the qualifying round Saturday thanks to a last-second goal by Alex Berg. Head coach Christopher Parisi will rely on his senior captains including net minder Carter Leibrock who has been clutch all season long.

When the teams met in the regular season on May 1, it was a 5-3 game at the half before New Canaan pulled away for a 16-5 victory.

Frank Granito, John Kovach and Kevin Coleman will be on the call.
