Fairfield legislators wrap up 2018 legislative session

State Senator Tony Hwang

Fairfield’s Representatives and Senator in Hartford will discuss whys, wherefores, and legislative action and inaction of the 2018 State General Assembly session at the League of Women Voters’ Legislative Wrap-Up, Wednesday, May 23, from 7-9 p.m., at the Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road.

Laura Devlin

At the annual event, Representatives Laura Devlin, Brenda Kupchick, and Cristin McCarthy-Vahey, and Senator Tony Hwang will speak briefly on legislation passed — and attempted — in this past “short session” of the legislature. The audience will then have the opportunity to ask questions of all members of this panel.

“It’s been an exciting — often frustrating — session,” League Co-President Margaret Mary Fitzgerald said. “The Wrap-up gives Fairfield citizens a chance to dig deeper into their legislators’ actions in an election year.”

State Rep. Brenda Kupchick (R-132)
