Hwang welcomes environmental advocates to State Capitol

As people around the world prepare to celebrate Earth Day on Sunday, April 22, Sen. Tony Hwang recently welcomed Clean Water Action’s Youth Voices for Climate Action to the State Capitol. Sen. Hwang thanked the advocates for speaking out in favor of clean water and for policies which protect the environment.

In 2017, Sen. Hwang was recognized by the Connecticut League of Conservation Voters as a “Legislative Environmental Champion” for his efforts to preserve Connecticut’s air, water, wildlife, and open space. In 2015, Sen. Hwang sponsored Long Island Sound ‘Blue Plan’ legislation to map natural resources, plant and animal habitats, and other unique ecological features along our coastline to provide a comprehensive picture of the Sound.
