Fairfield Earth Day cleanup Sunday, April 22

Join us for Fairfield Earth Day Clean-up, Sunday, April 22, from 8-noon. Meet at the Gazebo on Sherman Green beginning at 8 a.m. where bags will be provided, and areas of need can be assigned. Students, residents, and community groups will work together cleaning up areas around town picking up trash, cleaning underpasses, and other areas. Bring work gloves to pick-up litter.

All participants must have a signed waiver.

Prize for the most interesting piece of trash and wristbands for volunteers good for discounts at local restaurants from April 23-29.

Clean ups will run from 9-noon. For further details go to humanitynow.us.

Humanity Now is a 501(c)3 founded in Fairfield and our members have initiated projects in Ecuador, Senegal, Haiti, and the Gambia providing safe drinking water, medical care, and education for girls. Proceeds from last year’s event allowed us to distribute filters capable of providing 70 million gallons of clean drinking water to communities in Ecuador, Haiti, and Puerto Rico.
