Fairfield Police said Nissan Maxima sought in incident

A purse snatching was reported in the parking lot of Stop & Shop, 760 Villa Ave., around 3:15 p.m. Easter Sunday, April 1.

Fairfield Police said a white man in his mid 20s with reddish-brown hair approached two women, and yanked a purse off one of them after a brief struggle.

Police said they are seeking a Nissan Maxima, believed to be a 2000 to 2004 model, suspected as being used in the incident.

Anyone who sees the vehicle in the photo released by police or who has additional information on the incident is asked contact the Fairfield Police Department Detective Bureau at 203-254-4840 or Text FPD plus the tip to CRIMES (274637).
