Slick roads around Fairfield

Schools opened on time

Slick roads are reported around Fairfield Monday, April 2, as a spring snowstorm blankets the area.

The Fairfield Fire Department reported that one person was taken to the hospital after a crash on Wison Street Monday morning.

“Fairfield public safety warns all residents to drive carefully today,” according to a Facebook post from the Fire Department. “Roads are extremely slippery.”

Fairfield schools opened on time, with Superintendent of Schools Dr. Toni Jones tweeting that decision before 5 a.m.

Around 9:20 a.m. Monday, Jones tweeted this:

Updates on conditions will be posted as they become available.
