Imperial Russian Fabergé Eggs at the Fairfield Public Library

Focusing on the life and work of jeweler and artist Peter Carl Fabergé, this program will feature a photo-tour of Fabergé collections around the world on Thursday, April 5, at 7 p.m., in the Rotary Room at the Fairfield Public Main Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Egg painting in Russian culture, the  history of these eggs, and their role in the dramatic events of the end of Romanov rule will be discussed. Registration is requested.

Marina Forbes is an artist, historian, lecturer and storyteller who speaks about Russian arts and culture as well as Russian daily life, social issues and iconography throughout New England. She also leads a Cultural Tour to Russia each year.
