Fairfield Public Library presents Songbirds of the Northeast

The Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road presents Songbirds of the Northeast featuring photographs and recordings of northeastern songbirds on Saturday, April 7, at 11 a.m.

The role of song in these birds’ lives as well as their diet, social behavior, and other adaptations for survival will be discussed. How to provide attractive habitat for songbirds also will be covered. Perennials for attracting birds, butterflies and other beneficials will be offered for sale at the end of this talk.

Registration is requested.

Presenter John Root is a naturalist and educator. He presents nature and gardening programs at libraries, senior centers, schools, garden clubs, and other venues throughout New England.
