Pequot Library hosts Lenihan School of Irish Dance

The Lenihan School of Irish Dance will teach the fundamentals of Irish step dancing on Saturday, March 3, from 11-11:45 a.m., at The Pequot Library. Registration is required at [email protected] This free program is for ages 3 and up.

Two weeks later, on St. Patrick’s Day, Saturday, March 17, from 10:30-11:15 a.m., the Lenihan School of Irish Dance returns to Pequot Library for its annual performance. After the show, the audience is invited to participate and learn basic steps and kicks.

Irish dancing is a distinctive form of dance requiring artistry, athleticism, and flexibility. Visitors to Pequot Library will enjoy the intricate costuming and strong musical rhythms of traditional Irish dancing. This program is free and open to the public. No registration required.
