Hamilton College Choir performs free concert

The Hamilton College Choir will visit Fairfield during its annual March tour on Monday, March 12, at 7:30 p.m., at the Chapel of the Holy Spirit Sacred Heart University, 5151 Park Ave.

The 70-member choir will perform a varied program that includes music from all over the world.

The Hamilton College Choir boasts an uninterrupted tradition of fine choral singing that dates back for over a century. It is directed by Jace Saplan, director of choral activities and vocal studies and assistant professor of music at Hamilton. This year the choir will perform concerts throughout the Northeast, including Boston, New York City, and Philadelphia.

Originally founded in 1793 as the Hamilton-Oneida Academy, Hamilton College occupies a 1,350-acre hilltop campus overlooking the New England-style Village of Clinton, New York. Hamilton enrolls 1,850 students from 49 states and 49 countries.
