Pequot Library thanks book donors

Pequot Library’s Mid-Winter Book Sale, held last weekend in the Auditorium, achieved record results. Even with the snowstorm on Sunday, more than 2,000 people attended the two-day sale.

The Library thanks its dedicated book sale volunteers, professional staff, media sponsor WPKN 89.5 FM, and Rock and Roll Hall of Fame pianist Mark Naftalin and his talented group of friends for helping make this book sale such a success.

Executive Director Stephanie J. Coakley adds, “We are so grateful to everyone who donates books, media, and records throughout the year. Your contributions make our book sale fundraisers possible, which directly support our ongoing library services, education programs, art and history exhibitions, and community events for all ages.”

The next book sale is the 58th annual Summer Book Sale, one of the largest in New England. It will be open from July 27-31, 2018.
