SHU’s Kappa Delta hosts Caitlin’s ShamROCK the Runway

The Eta Nu chapter of Kappa Delta at Sacred Heart University is holding its annual ShamROCK the Runway event in efforts to raise money for Prevent Child Abuse America.

This year’s event has been named in honor of their late sister Caitlin Nelson, who served as vice president of Community Service for two years. Nelson had placed extreme dedication into this event and its philanthropy.  The new event name is Caitlin’s ShamROCK the Runway.

Last year the sorority raised $54,000. “This year we continue to live her legacy and donate nothing short of that amount with the help of our sisters, families, school community, and any individual or business who is willing to contribute to this cause,” said Makenzie Moore.

The event will be held in the Edgerton Theater at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield on March 21, at 8 p.m. Throughout the show, Kappa Deltas will be raffling off baskets donated by various individuals and businesses.

Tickets are available for purchase during the week of the show for $3 and also will be available at the door first come first served for $5.

All members of Kappa Delta will be in attendance, as well as other Greek life members, family, friends and members of the school community including students, professors and deans. Kappa Delta extends the invitation to all members of the community.
