Wrestling: Ludlowe reserves step up in win over Norwalk

The Fairfield Ludlowe wrestling team defeated Norwalk High, 44-33, on Wednesday.

“We were missing Jacob Pressler (112 pounds), Eric Emmendorfer (145), Sebastian Bestos-Neto (152), Thomas Murray (160) and Jess Barber (220),” Ludlowe head coach Nick Garoffolo said after the Falcons improved to 9-9. “Hopefully, they will be back for this Friday.”

Ludlowe will host Masuk, Manchester and Newington Friday at 4 p.m, then host Ludlowe its JV tournament on Saturday.

Yuri Case stepped in at 115 pounds and won a 14-8 decision.

Zach Taylor scored a pin in 3:13 at 145.

Justin Hathaway pinned in 5:08 at 182.

At 132, Adam Arnaout posted a 21-4 technical fall.

Skyler Kwok pinned in 2:46 at 138.

Stan Goldlewski posted a pin in 3:39 at 195 pounds.

For Norwalk, Sam White won a 6-0 decision at 120.

Max Schwartz pinned in 44 seconds at 152.
