Fairfield Rotary approves funds for three projects

At their most recent meeting Fairfield Rotary’s Board of Directors heard requests, and approved funds for, three different charitable projects.

Support was affirmed for the next phase of an ongoing Bolivian water project, an endeavor that brings and maintains a clean water supply to rural populations and that involves teachers and students from Fairfield University. A request from the Trumbull Rotary Club to help support a District Managed Grant to Hull House in Bridgeport also was approved as was a request to contribute to a travel fund for The Warde High School Achievement Gap Task Force. Their success in bringing together students, teachers, and parents from three different schools to discuss the achievement gap has been so successful that they have been invited to address a National Education Conference in San Diego.
