Snow Shoveling for Seniors Update – We’re working on compiling the list of shovelers for those who have registered this year. Our Snow Shoveling for Seniors program connects seniors and people with disabilities in Fairfield with students who are willing to provide snow shoveling services. Once we have a list of student shovelers, we’ll distribute it. Those enrolled in the program are responsible for contacting the volunteer from the list provided and for making financial or scheduling arrangements. Click here to download registration forms or stop by the office to pick one up.

Senior Center Inclement Weather Policy: If Fairfield Public Schools are closed due to bad weather, all Center activities/classes/transportation/lunches are cancelled and the Senior Center will be closed. If Fairfield Public Schools are delayed due to bad weather, morning activities/classes/transportation services are cancelled. Senior Center Closings and Delays will be publicized on TV and the RADIO. If travel becomes hazardous during the course of the day due to bad weather, staff may decide to cancel activities for the remainder of the day. If this occurs, all bus passengers will be driven home. The Fairfield Public Schools have a hotline to call for pre-recorded, weather-related delays and cancellations: 203-255-8255.
