Fairfield leaders to discuss how state’s budget impacts Fairfield

First Selectman Mike Tetreau, and Board of Finance Chair Tom Flynn, will provide an up-to-date presentation on the impact of the state’s budget and operations on Fairfield at a Fairfield League of Women Voters’ Community Forum on Saturday, Jan. 13, from 10 a.m.-noon, at the Fairfield Museum and History Center, 370 Beach Road.

A key topic of focus for Fairfield citizens will be how state cutbacks and reorganizations will affect the town.

Concerns include:

  • Reductions in municipal aide
  • Education Cost Sharing grant (ECS)
  • Unfunded mandates
  • Renters Rebate program for the elderly and disabled

The community forum will include a Q&A by the audience.

This Fairfield League of Women Voters’ Community Forum is free and open to the public.

This is the first of many Fairfield League of Women Voters 2017 events. For questions about the Fairfield League, email [email protected].
