Fairfield University unveils interior design Aug. 29

Fairfield University will host an open house for its interior design programs at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, at the Fairfield University Bookstore, 1499 Post Road. Those interested in entering the certificate programs will have an opportunity to meet Rob Hardy, ASID, director of the program.

A children’s story hour will be provided free of charge.

Fairfield has two interior design programs: a 45-credit professional certificate and a 30-credit residential certificate.

The professional certificate satisfies the minimal educational eligibility requirement for NCIDQ certification as well as the ASID allied membership category. Students will a portfolio and presentation style. The residential program provides the same foundation of hands-on design experience, but is geared to those who wish to specialize in residential design and are not interested in certification.

Information is available from Elizabeth Hastings at 203-254-4000, ext. 2688, or fairfield.edu/interiordesign.
