Family Halloween costume parade Oct. 29

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce, in partnership with the Fairfield Museum and the Town of Fairfield, announces its family Halloween costume parade in conjunction with the Halloween on the Green on Sunday, Oct. 29, from 12:30-1:30 p.m., behind the Burr Mansion, 739 Old Post Road.

The parade will start at 12:30 p.m., with the First Selectman leading the parade as the Grand Marshal. The Fairfield Chamber will award 10 prizes for outstanding and creative costumes.

Participants in the parade will line-up behind the Burr Mansion beginning at noon. The parade route will move out onto the Old Post Road, turn right on the sidewalk, turn right into the Old Town Hall driveway by St. Paul’s Church, and end at the WEBE 108 tent behind the Fairfield Museum, where prizes will be awarded. Everyone is invited to dress up and put on their scariest, funniest, prettiest, creepiest, spookiest and most creative Halloween costume.

The event is free and open to the public, and will be held rain or shine.
