Coyner ‘simply is the better candidate’

To the Editor:

I am enthusiastically endorsing Kevin Coyner for state representative in the 132 District in the Aug. 14 primary. He simply is the better candidate, with a deeper understanding and more experience than his opponent at addressing the issues facing our state.

Kevin holds an MBA in international business and has had a mix of both private and public sector employment experience which makes him uniquely qualified to view the issues facing our state. This includes his experience in private sector finance, work as an international trade representative, small businessman and public sector work as U.S. Senate staffer and a firefighter. In his current position, Kevin serves on the Greenwich retirement board overseeing retirement and pension funds.

These professional experiences have provided Kevin with an understanding of the critical issues Connecticut faces, including economic growth, job creation and issues related to public sector employment benefits and pensions.

And as a married father of two grown children, he understands the challenges facing Connecticut families.

It is clear to me that Kevin’s background and experience on the issues of today makes him a better choice this primary season to tackle the challenging issues ahead. We need to send to Hartford representatives with real substance who can work collaboratively with fellow elected officials to solve the issues facing Connecticut.

That’s why I am urging Democrats in the 132nd District to vote for Kevin Coyner on Aug. 14.
