Fairfield Rotary announces deadline for funding opportunities

The Fairfield Rotary Club announces Sept. 30, is the deadline for organizations to apply for charitable grant funds to help support local philanthropic projects or programs. The application for submission may be accessed through the club’s website at fairfieldrotary.org.

Grants will be awarded at the Rotary meeting on the first Monday after Thanksgiving, Nov. 27, 2017. Requests are generally awarded for capital (non-recurring) expenditures. Organizations seeking funding must have a current Rotarian as a sponsor. While paper applications are accepted, email submissions are preferred.

For more than 25 years, Fairfield Rotary Foundation has awarded more than $300,000 in local grants. Rotary International is the world’s first service club organization. More than 1.2 million members volunteer their time and talent to further the Rotary motto, “service above self.” The object of Rotary is to encourage and foster the ideal of service as a basis of worthy enterprise.
