Residents, businesses encouraged to follow hurricane preparedness plan

First Selectman Mike Tetreau and Fairfield Emergency Management Director/Fire Chief Denis McCarthy encourage all residents and businesses to follow the Town’s 96 Hour Home and Family Hurricane Preparedness Plan.

As the height of hurricane season is upon us, residents and businesses should take the needed steps to prepare well in advance of any threatening storm. The Atlantic hurricane season runs from June 1 to November 30, with the principle threat period for Connecticut occurring between mid-August and mid-October.

First Selectman Tetreau stated, “Fairfield’s residents and businesses can be assured that the Town is well-prepared to respond to any major storm. The safety and well-being of every citizen is our highest priority.”

Thank you and Stay Safe,

Your Emergency Management Team
