Fairfield Ludlowe High School public forum July 11

The Window Replacement Project, managed by the Fairfield Ludlowe High School Building Committee, has determined that PCB containing paint exists at this facility. This paint has been encapsulated by years of repainting of the school’s interior. Environmental testing has determined that there are no air quality issues or health risks posed by the encapsulated paint.

The Fairfield Ludlowe High School Building Committee, Fairfield Health Department, CT Department of Energy and Environmental Protection and the US Environmental Protection Agency are working closely with the Town of Fairfield and its environmental consultants to determine details of the abatement plan for these areas as part of the work of the Fairfield Ludlowe High School Building Committee. Work on the Window Replacement Project is not affected by the encapsulated paint.

To accommodate community interest in this issue, a public forum is planned on Tuesday, July 11, at 7 p.m., in the 2nd Floor Board Room, 501 Kings Highway East, Fairfield. Experts from the Fairfield Health Department and the project’s environmental consulting firm will be on hand to answer questions.
