LETTER: Supports Kevin Kiley for Selectman

To the Editor:

With an important town-wide election taking place on June 6, I write to express my support for Kevin Kiley for Selectman.

Kevin Kiley has spent the past 22 years serving the Town of Fairfield in different roles.  Prior to serving three years as Selectman, from 2012 to 2015, he served for 15 years on the Board of Finance, including five years as Chairman, and four years on the Representative Town Meeting,

As a member of the Board of Finance, he was Chairman of the Metro Station Committee.  Prior to that responsibility; he was Chairman of the Senior and Disabled Tax Relief Committee.  He also served as a member of the Committee on School Space and is currently a member of the PTA Council.

Kevin Kiley has a strong record of service and recognizes the biggest challenge in the coming years is to find a balance between affordability and the town services residents expect.  He also understands the unique small city, large town culture of Fairfield and the need to maintain the charm and character that makes Fairfield such a desirable place to live.

I believe that Kevin Kiley is the right choice for Selectman and will vote for him on June 6.
