Fairfield Earth Day Committee announces scholarship

April is Earth Month, and it also is Volunteer month. So in celebration of both, Fairfield’s Earth Day Celebration Committee, now celebrating its 20th year, has announced a scholarship opportunity. Throughout the years, students from both high schools have devoted time and energy to this annual event, and FEDC would like to honor that commitment.

FEDC will be awarding $250 to one student each from Fairfield Warde and Fairfield Ludlowe High Schools.

To qualify the student must meet at least one of these criteria:

  • have taken AP Environmental Science
  • have participated in an environmental or biology organization, club  or project
  • have shown a strong interest in the environment and sustainability
  • plans to major or minor in environmental science, engineering, sustainabiltiy, or biology

Scholarship applications may be found at fairfieldscholarshipfoundation.org/2017application/
