Fairfield Theatre Company holds first annual Dance Party FUN-raiser

Fairfield Theatre Company (FTC) will hold its first annual Dance Party FUN-raiser on Friday, April 21, at 8 p.m. “FTC Celebrates” will be an annual, branded event, designed to bring the Fairfield County community together. This year’s theme is disco. The event celebrates 12 years of bringing the community together.

All “FTC Celebrates” proceeds go to the “Build the Loft” Capital Campaign — an initiative to fund a 3,000 square foot expansion of currently unused FTC space.

“This initiative is critical for FTC.  The campaign’s success will enable us to continue to grow and diversify our music and arts programming, and increase the educational opportunities for our music students. It will also connect us directly to downtown Fairfield where we will continue to be an artistic hub and economic engine for the community,” said, John Reid, FTC’s producing artistic director.

“In addition to FTCs phenomenal community programs, shows and cultural influence — Concerts, Art Exhibits, Theatre/Movie Series, Saturday Kids, Broadway Workshops — we think it’s time to “blow the roof off this sucka” and dance! ‘FTC Celebrates Disco’ will be the biggest, baddest, boldest, bestest, beat-bangin’est, boogie-down in town! Forget Studio 54; 70 Sanford Street is the place to be,” said Allison Ziering Walmark, the evening’s event co-chair. “Everyone is diligently working to recreate the disco energy and atmosphere. Creative 70s attire is encouraged, but whatever the attire, we promise  a night to remember. As FTC likes to say, Come one. Come all. Come together!”

Ticket prices begin at $50. Sponsorships are available.
