Rotary honors crossing guard

Tony Gambardella was recently honored by the Fairfield Rotary Club as Crossing Guard of the Year, chosen by the Fairfield Police Department.

Tony Gambardella has been involved with the crossing guards since retiring from the Police Department. He now coordinates scheduling the guards at all the schools throughout Fairfield. He also has to fill in for any guards who call in sick.

Above, Fairfield Police Chief Gary MacNamara presents the award to Gambardella, while Deputy Chief Chris Lyddy and Lt. James Perez applaud.
