Yarn bombing at the Fairfield Public Library

The Yarn Bombing of the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road, took place on the frigid morning of Sunday, Jan. 8, following the Saturday snowstorm. It was cold, but that didn’t stop the group from their second annual Want A Scarf Take A Scarf community project.

Fairfield Woods Branch Library’s Purls of Wisdom Knitting Group and the Sewing Salon have been working on scarves since early October. Together they made 215 scarves, 2 hats and 6 pairs of mittens.

As the sign says, “Want a Scarf — Take a Scarf — Stay Warm!
