CT Audubon Society holds Election Day Fun program

Connecticut Audubon Society Center at Fairfield, 2325 Burr Street, will hold an Election Day Fun program featuring a walk through the Larsen Sanctuary, nature crafts, and a “Favorite Critter” animal election Tuesday, Nov. 8, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

The program is recommended for children ages 4 to 8.

Cost is $35 for CAS members and $40 for non-members.

While voters head to the polls, we’ll be venturing to the woods for fall fun and outdoor discovery at The Connecticut Audubon Society’s Center at Fairfield. Explore the Larsen Sanctuary and investigate how nature is preparing for a change of seasons — as the country prepares for a change of leaders. After a walk, attendees will head indoors to make nature crafts and learn about this year’s live animal candidates campaigning in the Center’s “Favorite Critter” election. After an up-close “meet and greet” with the Center’s slate of furry and not-so-furry contenders, participants will cast their votes and declare the winner.

Bring a lunch. Advance registration is required. For more information and to reserve a spot, call 203-259-6305, ext. 109, or go to ctaudubon.org/center-at-fairfield.
