Build-a-Plane-Day at the Bigelow Center

As part of the Bigelow Senior Center’s intergenerational programming, the Fairfield Aces model airplane group of the Bigelow Senior Center will host a “Build-a-Plane-Day” for students age 10 and up on Saturday, Oct. 29, from 10-1.

Cadets will build a rubber-powered “stick and tissue” flying model plane with the assistance of Fairfield Aces members. Free kits are supplied and safe glues are used.

After construction, the students will fly their planes in the gym with the Aces and will take their planes home after the event. There will be a “mini-airshow” demonstrating several types of planes.

The Bigelow Center for Senior Activities, is located at 100 Mona Terrace, Fairfield. Parents are asked to remain with students and they must sign a permission form prior to the start of the class. The activity is limited to 15 participants.

To reserve a spot, call 203-256-3166.
