Report UI crews harassed in Fairfield

Fairfield Police reported Monday, Nov. 5, that several UI crews had to stop work and call for police assistance after being harassed and threatened.

“Please allow UI crews to do their jot and do not interfere so we can ensure full restoration as soon as possible,” Fairfield Police posted on Facebook.

First Selectman Michael Tetreau reported in a Code RED message that more than 100 power crews are working in Fairfield Monday.

As of noon Monday, UI reported that nearly 11% of town, 2,360 of 21,876 homes and businesses, were without power as crews worked to repair the remaining 256 sites damaged by Sandy
