Fairfield Happiness Club welcomes Emma Seppala, Ph.D., author of The Happiness Track – How To Apply the Science of Happiness to Accelerate Your Success, to its next meeting Thursday, Oct. 13, from 7-8:45 p.m., at the Fairfield Public Library, 1080 Old Post Road.

Dr. Seppala is science director of Stanford University’s Center for Compassion and Altruism Research and Education and author of The Happiness Track. She founded the popular news site. Emma is a health psychologist and leading expert on happiness, compassion, resilience and mind-body practices for trauma and well-being. Fulfillment Daily and contributes to Psychology Today, Harvard Business Review, and MindBodyGreen.

Dr. Seppala is also a certified yoga, pilates, meditation and breath work instructor. Dr. Seppala is a sought-after speaker, Emma has addressed academic, corporate, and governmental institutions. Her work has been featured in the New York Times, ABC News, Forbes, The Boston Globe, U.S. News & World Report, The Huffington Post, INC and Fast Company. She received her BA from Yale, her Master’s from Columbia and her PhD from Stanford University. Originally from Paris, France, she speaks French, English, German, Spanish & Mandarin Chinese.
