Bigelow Tea adopts Kennedy Center Group Home and paints Broadhurst Manor

Recently, six executives from Bigelow Tea in Fairfield helped out Kennedy Center consumers.  They spent the entire day painting Broadhurst Manor group home in Fairfield.

In addition to supplying the manpower, Bigelow Tea purchased all the painting supplies and will be replacing all the curtains in the group home.

This charitable project is part of The Kennedy Center’s Adopt-A-Home program, which unites a group home with businesses, civic organizations and other community partners in New Haven and Fairfield counties. Bigelow Tea was the first company to volunteer with The Kennedy Center on this initiative and has previously worked on many other area group homes.

According to Martin D. Schwartz, President and CEO of The Kennedy Center, “Bigelow Tea has been an extraordinary supporter of The Kennedy Center for over seven years.  They have made a tremendous difference to our agency and the individuals we serve.”

Cindi Bigelow, President and CEO of Bigelow Tea added, “My team and I had the most wonderful day helping to support the Kennedy Center and work on one of the many homes they provide for their wonderful residents. It is really inspiring for my team to get an opportunity to see that good work of the Kennedy center in action and to make a small difference with those residents by helping with the homes upkeep. It really means the world to the entire team. We are already looking forward to next year!”
