Long Hill Garden Club presentation Preparing Your Garden for Winter program

Long-Hill-Garden-Club-LOGOThe Long Hill Garden Club begins its 75th anniversary year meetings on Monday, Sept. 26 in the Community Room at the Trumbull Library, 33 Quality St. The featured speaker will be Lee Ganim, from Ganim’s Garden Center and Florist in Fairfield.

Meeting begins at 11:30 a.m., and is followed by a Gather, Greet and Eat, and the program will start at 12:45 p.m.

The program is Preparing Your Garden for Winter. Ganim, known as That Garden Guy, has more than 45 years of gardening experience and plant knowledge. He also has had a weekly radio show and written a weekly garden column in local newspapers. He has a BS from UConn in Ornamental Horticulture and is always on the cutting edge of new plants. His garden center is a Magic Garden of plants and shrubs.

The meeting is open to all. Anyone residing in Trumbull and surrounding towns is invited to attend. New residents will gain a sense of the garden club’s presence in the area, including its many projects, and current residents, knowing about our community-oriented endeavors, may find this is the right time to join.
